Vice President Winnie Wong to Provide Expert Advice and Insight
Van Nuys, CA, June 15, 2009 – Winnie Wong, Vice President in Momentous Insurance’s Film, TV & Special Events division, is scheduled to speak at the 2009 Entertainment Industry Conference in Santa Monica on June 17th at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel.
The Entertainment Industry Conference strives to familiarize its attendees with new trends and legislation that affect those in entertainment. Its audience consists mainly of CPAs who represent film, music and production studios, as well as business managers, attorneys, bankers, CPAs, CFOs and controllers involved with the industry.
Winnie is an authority on all aspects of production insurance, and will be lending her considerable expertise to discuss issues related to independent film finance and distribution. Along with Anne Clements of Idiot Savant Pictures, Inc. and Roman Kopelevich of Bleiberg Entertainment, Winnie will be covering such topics as compensation and profit participation for independent film talent, international distribution/foreign sales, and theatrical films vs. genre films.
Winnie has been an entertainment insurance broker for the past 22 years and handles independent features, television, reality, documentary and commercial films. Winnie has represented a number of prestigious accounts such as MGM Studios, Universal Studios, and countless television, commercial and documentary production companies. In addition, she has taught entertainment insurance and authored various articles for film publications, as well as participated on panels for American Film Market and Slamdance. She also writes a weekly blog on production insurance that is featured at filmindependent.org. Winnie has developed value-added services such as certificates online, film association Errors & Omissions and other programs for the Entertainment industry.
