Sample Tour Checklist for Artists
Making sure your band is properly protected has never been more critical. Every year we see a rise in lawsuits, new exposures and a higher burden of responsibility placed upon bands and their managers to have proper risk management programs that protect the band and crew from losses. [ ] Have all contract insurance and indemnification clauses reviewed.
[ ] Provide your broker with updated list of your owned equipment.
[ ] If rented equipment must be insured by the band, provide your broker with a complete list of the rented equipment.
[ ] Obtain certificates of insurance from all vendors adding you as an additional insured, and if applicable, loss payee.
[ ] Provide your broker with updated itineraries and payrolls.
[ ] Report all claims as soon as they are known.
[ ] Notify the broker of all foreign tours as soon as they are known.
