Ron Hess, Assistant Vice President of Commercial Entertainment, recently met with actress and producer Lydia Nicole on her show Common Sense Mamita to discuss the fundamentals of production insurance. In the first part of the series, linked below, Ron explains why insurance is crucial no matter the size of the production, and how it becomes even more important as a producer/production becomes successful. The pair then review the essential coverage needed for all small productions, and consider the merits of of short-term versus annual coverage for multiple projects.
